Pinnacle Orthopedics Philosophy, “where patients come first”
In general, Orthopedic surgeons tend to focus on the injured body part rather than the whole patient. As an Orthopedic specialist, Dr. Elfenbein prides himself on talking with his patients and learning how the injury or problem is affecting their life. Together, Dr. Elfenbein and his patients decide on an orthopedic treatment plan that is appropriate and reasonable to both. The field of Orthopaedic surgery covers the entire body (literally head to toe) and involves both surgical and non-surgical management. Sports Medicine, arthritis treatment, nerve problems, and trauma are some examples of the conditions that fall under the expertise of an Orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Elfenbein considers all of the options available to treat a problem and discusses them with his patients. As an Orthopaedic specialist, Dr. Elfenbein has the knowledge that he conveys to his patients so that they can take an active role in determining their course of care and make an informed decision as to how to proceed. Dr. Elfenbein believes strongly in establishing and maintaining a partnership with his patients.
