COVID-19Pinnacle Orthopedics is open and will remain open as long as possible to serve the healthcare needs of our community and our visitors. We are practicing social distancing so please come only as close as you must to our staff. Dr. Elfenbein will continue to provide normal examinations. Hand washing protocols and extensive examination room cleaning will continue between patient visits. We will attempt to put you in an exam room as soon as we are able and we ask that, if you are seated in the waiting room, you choose a seat as far from others as possible. Also, we ask that you limit the people accompanying you to your appointment to only someone necessary to assist you or a parent/guardian. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We will all get through this together.

Pinnacle Orthopedics Philosophy, “where patients come first”
In general, Orthopedic surgeons tend to focus on the injured body part rather than the whole patient. As an Orthopedic specialist, Dr. Elfenbein prides himself on talking with his patients and learning how the injury or problem is affecting their life. Together, Dr. Elfenbein and his patients decide on an orthopedic treatment plan that is appropriate and reasonable to both. The field of Orthopaedic surgery covers the entire body (literally head to toe) and involves both surgical and non-surgical management. Sports Medicine, arthritis treatment, nerve problems, and trauma are some examples of the conditions that fall under the expertise of an Orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Elfenbein considers all of the options available to treat a problem and discusses them with his patients. As an Orthopaedic specialist, Dr. Elfenbein has the knowledge that he conveys to his patients so that they can take an active role in determining their course of care and make an informed decision as to how to proceed. Dr. Elfenbein believes strongly in establishing and maintaining a partnership with his patients.
